Directions:
By car
You can easily get to Siegen via highway A 45 (from Dortmund/Frankfurt) or A 4 (from Cologne).
Information for GPS navigation:
Please use the following adress to get to the closest parking lot for the Chemistry building:
"Adolf-Reichwein Strasse 25, 57076 Siegen".
Leave the motorway (B54 / B62) at “Siegen-Weidenau”, and continue in the direction of “Netphen”. At the second light, turn left onto “Am Eichenhang”. At the first light, turn right into “Hochschulstraße”. Follow this street to the end, then turn left onto “Haardter-Berg-Strasse”. The main parking lot is on the right hand side.
By train
Train timetables are available at the DB Bahn website. Select "Siegen Hbf" as you final destination. There are regular trains from the South (Frankfurt), North (Essen, Duesseldorf), and West (Cologne).
The train station is not within walking distance of the Chemistry Department. Please take a taxi or bus to get to campus.
By bus
The main bus station (ZOB) is located in front of the main train station. Take bus UX1 or C111 to get to Adolf-Reichwein-Campus ("Richtung Weidenau Uni (AR)"). Alternatively, if you prefer to take a taxi, there is a taxi stand in front of the main train station.
By plane
The nearest major airports are Frankfurt (FRA), Duesseldorf (DUS), and Cologne-Bonn (CGN). There is a regular train service from the airports to Siegen, taking approximately 2-3 hours (please see above for details on getting from Siegen main train station to the Department).
