NMR Service measurements at 500MHz:
You may provide samples for service measurement from Monday to Friday. We shall run routine spectra within 24 hours (not on the weekend) and transfer the data to the NMR data server of your group.
We are able to run all routine 1D and 2D spectra during the service routine with "routine samples".
Requirements for routine spectroscopy:
- Tubes that are not clean outside will cause a penalty of “2 weeks no NMR service”
- broken (shortend) nmr tubes are not allowed
- filling height: maximal 50mm (no spectra will be acquired with NMR tubes filled higher than 5cm!!!)
- optimal filling height: 40-50mm for 5mm tubes, 35-40mm for 3mm tubes
- solvent mixtures only if with main solvent > 80%
- please attach a 1H NMR spectrum of this compound for 2D NMR or give name of the 1H dataset (including date)
- for all spectra except proton NMR the information about sample amount, molecular weight and symmetry is required, without this information we shall run spectra with standard parameters.
- sample concentration for NMR routine service:
1H NMR spectra: higher than 0.01mol/l (5mg in 0.5ml with M = 500g/mol)
13C NMR spectra: higher than 0.05mol/l (25mg in 0.5ml with M = 500g/mol) - samples should be solutions not suspensions
- please write as clear as possible! (usage of the computer is allowed)
- please use only small letters and numbers (we’ll only use small letters, even if your sample contains capital letters or roman numbers!)
- please use only “–“ as spacer!
- please ask the NMR operators for overnight and weekend runs.
- please ask the NMR group if you need special experiments (e.g. temperature experiments).
